Oil Slick Site 23051 2006-06-05

This is a suspected oil slick from Site 23051 in the Gulf of Mexico measuring 17 miles long and covering a surface area of 62.3 square miles.  The image was captured on June 6th, 2006 by NASA's Terra spacecraft and is available from the MODIS image library.  View this image in Google Earth.
